I am Assistant Professor (University Lecturer) of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analytics at the University of Bristol. I am with the School of Economics, Finance and Management, and with the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law. I read Engineering Science at the University of Oxford, and am an Honorary Research Fellow of University College London.
My lab works on research in statistics and neuroscience. In parallel, with help from colleagues, I work on a very restricted set of problems in economics, law, and digital health. My training was in engineering (Oxford), neurobiology (University College London), psychology (Yale), biostatistics (Johns Hopkins), theoretical statistics (Northwestern), and mathematical statistics (Washington). I studied financial engineering at university.
In another rather amateur life, I paint watercolor and oil.
